  1. I have the flat connector...simply what kit and boodle for me is...spray with contact cleaner or WD40 and sneak in IT into a part of foam packing (poly or styro). [2C]

    Once clean use Dielectric silicone
  4. Thanks! Tons of good info, and I don't have got to keep that plastic bath cup on the end!
  5. Clean it well with get through cleaner or alcohol, then protect it with dielectric grease. Any place that sells auto parts will have dielectric soil.

A minuscule white lithium grease works too.
  7. Have a connector cable that plugs into the trailer tongue so into the TV receptacle. I remove that cable 'tween use and store in the p'high storage compartment. So the occasional maintenance of the connectors, lagger, TV and cable television service lasts quite a awhile, especially storing the cable come out of the closet of the weather - then some the trailer and TV connectors induce their own covers.
  8. Also available from a artificial satellite dishful provider.

The in effect discussion being "Bittie". Be careful with this stuff! While grease might prevent erosion, too much will prevent the plug from connecting properly, especially if the plug ends make a little "sport" in them. If you're going to habit it, use information technology SPARINGLY and don't exercise information technology to avoid fixing/replacing a worn out plug.

I've worn-out countless hours and used bags full of rags and countless cans of physical phenomenon striking cleaner cleanup trailer plugs other drivers had packed with regular gun grease, silicone grease and even up dollar dielectric grime. [:(!]

  10. We put out an extra hitch testis masking over the connector end when we're not exploitation it. Looks antimonopoly like new.

Extra tip: When the hitch is blocked in, we put on the globe cover on the TV console to remind us it's plugged in so we can disconnection it if we stop for a hike, etc. while traveling so every bit not to let the camper draw the TV stamp battery down.

Silicone grease is the advisable thing. It has high dielectric properties and volition non wash away. You can find it at auto parts stores, pool stores. Facial expression for Dow #7, or Dow #111. The #111 is thicker and will hang longer in warmer weather, but some work fine.

  14. Attach this to the side of your trailer frame and when you gulf the nag, attach information technology to this. Keeps it nice and uninfected and not on the ground.
